CIRFOOD's lunch concept Essentials awarded “The new lunch culture” award

We are delighted to receive the first “New Lunch Culture”  Award. This award recognizes organizations that are innovatively implementing a healthier and more sustainable lunch within company restaurants.

The award ceremony took place during a festive meeting on the future of the Dutch lunch culture at Koppert Cress in Monster. Here professionals from food, healthcare and education came together around themes such as health, sustainability and innovation.

First, on behalf of CIRFOOD, we would like to express our sincere thanks to the organization of the New Lunch Culture for creating this inspiring award and for inviting us to participate in this inspiring initiative.
Our thanks especially go to our colleagues on the work floor at our partners, whose passion and commitment are indispensable. They are at the heart of the success of “Essentials. We also appreciate the trust and support of our clients, who have enabled us to achieve this result.

CIRFOOD managed to convince the jury with concept 'Essentials', an all-you-can-eat lunch formula that focuses on accessibility, vegetable choices and hospitality. According to the jury, CIRFOOD succeeded in effectively linking food and experience, which led to an increase in the number of lunch guests from 150 to 250 per day. More information can be read in the Essentials case study.

The New Lunch Culture is an initiative of GroentenFruit Huis, BeBright, Koppert Cress and Province of South Holland, supported by, among others, Top Sector Horticulture & Starting Materials and Municipality of Westland.
