“When an adult eats no meat for a week, they save 101 litres of water, 79 km of driving and 770 grams of animal meat in seven days,” says the Week Without Meat foundation. This week marks the start of the fourth edition of A Week Without Meat! The team behind the initiative want to show people not only what meat production means for the planet and for animals, but also how easy it can be to say no to meat and still eat delicious food. And that’s something that CIRFOOD has been working towards for a while now, too.
