Food

Food and drink are our greatest passions. When we share this passion, we always think about the world around us. We encourage a healthy lifestyle, make conscious choices easier and consider each other's future.
We collaborate with farmers, market gardeners and food producers to bring the tastiest, in-season products into our kitchens.

People

People drive society, and our staff are the beating heart of our business. They create a welcoming environment, nutritious dishes and add a dose of fun to our services.
CIRFOOD originated as a cooperative. Collaboration and working together are the foundation for us in the relationships we build with our clients. In short, it makes us happy when we contribute to making others happy.

Culture

We believe that everyone has the right to good food and drink. Our daily meals are much more than just nutrition. Food and drink also represent tradition, innovation, health, well-being and responsibility. In a word: culture.

Sustainability is a driving force in our thinking and activities. In everything we do, we weigh our actions for their effect on the future. We give back what we take and we encourage our partners to make sustainable choices.

Sustainable Development Goals 2030

We have long embraced the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). And because our activities and services involve many different areas, we have formulated targeted policies for several of the SDGs. We believe in making a major positive impact in partnership with our clients. This is reflected in our approach to procurement, production, training and joint ventures.

Sustainability is one of CIRFOOD's guiding values. As part of our commitment to society, our people and the environment, CIRFOOD completes a thorough assessment of its business sustainability practices every year through EcoVadis, the global standard for business sustainability ratings. The EcoVadis assessment includes 21 sustainability criteria across four core themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. CIRFOOD is proud to announce that in our latest rating, which was completed in 2022, we earned a Platinum-medal, which is the highest possible score. This rating means we are among the top 1% of organisations around the world assessed by EcoVadis and also the first catering company in The Netherlands achieving this.

Sustainable Development Goals

The Sustainable Development Goals are a call for action by all countries – poor, rich and middle-income – to promote prosperity while protecting the planet. They recognize that ending poverty must go hand-in-hand with strategies that build economic growth and address a range of social needs including education, health, social protection, and job opportunities, while tackling climate change and environmental protection. More important than ever, the goals provide a critical framework for COVID-19 recovery.
